SV	En Hosa, uit de kinderen van Merari, had zonen; Simri was het hoofd; (alhoewel hij de eerstgeborene niet was, nochtans stelde hem zijn vader tot een hoofd).
WLC	וּלְחֹסָ֥ה מִן־בְּנֵי־מְרָרִ֖י בָּנִ֑ים שִׁמְרִ֤י הָרֹאשׁ֙ כִּ֣י לֹא־הָיָ֣ה בְכֹ֔ור וַיְשִׂימֵ֥הוּ אָבִ֖יהוּ לְרֹֽאשׁ׃
Trans.	ûləḥōsâ min-bənê-mərārî bānîm šimərî hārō’š kî lō’-hāyâ ḇəḵwōr wayəśîmēhû ’āḇîhû lərō’š:

AC	י ולחסה מן בני מררי בנים--שמרי הראש כי לא היה בכור וישימהו אביהו לראש
ASV	Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief, (for though he was not the first-born, yet his father made him chief),
BE	And Hosah, a son of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief (for though he was not the oldest, his father made him chief);
Darby	-- And Hosah, of the sons of Merari, had sons: Shimri the head, for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him the head;
